I am folder poor so when the Rat model 1 first came out I didn't give it a hard look. I thought it was an interesting design, but I didn't need any more folders and the made in Taiwan turned me off. Fast forward to the present. These knives have become available at a price that makes them just too hard to pass up. I thought I would give it a try since I love every Rat design so far. I got the knife today. Let me say that I am extremely impressed with this knife. For the $$$ it is a real bargain. The fit and finish are superb on my example. I think I'll use it as my duty folder for awhile. I'll semi retire my Endura.

This knife makes me long for a RC1. I know that a RC version would only be better. The good thing about these knives is they will sell plenty of RC folders when they come to fruition. People that may not have otherwise would have bought a RC folder will definitely want one after handling this knife.

I wanted to thank Jeff Randall and the RAT team for coming up with such a good design.

Appreciate the kinds words on our design. Some day we will have an American made model.

I anxiously await it. I really think the Ontario version will only sell more of yours when they become available.

I sent my RAT1 folder to Dylan aka: Dylside .... the RAT 1 folder is nicely built but the Tawain blade keeps me from keeping it,I passed it on ! Awaiting the US version to come out one day !

and I do appreciate it! Can't wait to try it out. I'm ready to go home and check the mailbox.

I still consider picking one up just to have as a backup folder but I just cant support Ontario.
