I was in Chico visiting the grandparents over spring break. My favorite B&M store happens to be Cutlery Works at the Chico mall. Naturally, as soon as I had made all appropriate greetings and chit chat with the grandparents, I headed for the knife shop. I had $110 to burn and picked up a Spyderco Spydercard that I had put off buying for a year. Then I saw that they had the BM160 Tether knives on sale :D. I asked to handle one and he passes me the last plainedge he has in stock. I look at the other side and instead of 440c, it said "GIN 1". Below that it says "Pre-Production 0117/1000". Needless to say, I bought it too.

This is bad ass! I've never had any pre prod knives before, let alone one with a low number. This guy is staying LNIB, its got kydex marks from previous shoppers handling it. I just might have to buy a second one for actual use.

When I first got on the forums, I used to think that having two (or more) of the same knife was a little strange. Now I believe I'm heading that way too. I just made my first pre order for a knife that hasn't been released yet (Cuda Maxx) and a year ago, I would have never done that. I've become a knut   :D

Cool finds. I work in Chico, so I am pretty familiar with Cutlery Works. Nice store. I picked up my Benchmade 942 there.

Then you know Warren. He's a good guy that runs a good store with good prices (for a B&M).

I especially like their birthday club-- 25% off on a purchase during the month of your birthday. Brought the price on my 942 down to within online price range.
