I got a lefty 50/50 COmmander. I love the knife but the I have two issues with it.
The first is that the blade scrapes against the liner when opening and closing. I figure this may be corrected by oneself.
The other is that the grind on the blade is pretty uneven. It is pretty good well ground at the tip, but then it thins out quite dramatically. I've seen other commanders and am pretty sure, it's not the norm. Will emerson re-grind this for me? Did anyone else have these problems?

I had the same problems you do. I sent mine back though. Give Emerson a call and see what they can do. Good luck,
Matthew

I wouldn't bother sending it back. To fix the blade hitting the liner - try tightening the pivot a bit. The grind lines you have are normal. All the recent Commanders have a very stout tip.

Cheers

Peter

I would loosen the pivot pin a tiny bit and take a Q-Tip and swab out anything in the whole area.

I would then use a high quality oil on it, on both sides...then tighten her back up. That way you can keep it both smooth opening and tight.

And the same goes for a knife...
And, I'm a Usual Suspect.

Is your Commander un-coated? My Black-T Commander operates smoothly. I did see a few chromium nitrate Mach1's and the actions were all rather rough. I'm not sure if it was the finish on the blade.
