Well . . . got bored with how it looked and decided to play around with my Dremel tool. Recessed the non-clip side and put in a strip of tiger maple. "Nuggetted" the whole thing . . . including the thumb studs. (Just noticed it does not show up well online though!) Not sure if I like it yet though! Not sure if the nuggetting will make it more or less suceptible to rust than bead blast?? Oh well, thought I might post a shot of it.

Damn! I'm impressed. That looks very professionally done...I like it a lot.

Jason,

You did an outstanding job. Excellent work. It really dresses up a great knife.

Well I think it looks great. It is a stainless steel handle so with a little care rusting should not be a problem.

A rather boring knife that hss been to the beauty parlor. Nice, nice, nice.

Impressive as usual, Jason! :D

Give us a detail shot of that nuggetting? Coooool! Tight fit on that maple!

You did that with a Dremel tool?

You have to show me how you did that.

Yeah, that is all I have to work with this year while I am in language school!:(

The cutout I did with a cutoff wheel and a diamond burr. The "nuggetting" I did with a tungsten carbide cutter and a diamond burr. As I was told, "just take a burr and do figure eights till it looks like nuggetting.":D It actually works!

Michael, It has "grown on me" and I like it . . . thanks for the offer though . . . I take that as a HUGE compliment given your tastes in knives!:D  :D
