hey Dan, i recieve my new "baby" on wednesday. it is a beautiful lil knife. you did an excellent job with it. my only thing is, maybe a lil higher edge grind, but oh well.

i was surprised by how thick and heavy it is for a knife so small. then again it is one solid peice of steel so that should explain everything for me.

btw, its kinda like a birthday gift. i won the knife the day after my 18th birthday. :D :D :D

thanks again Dan,

If you were in Canada, you could legally drink.

Huh huh. :p

So if I get this right, if you had won a few days earlier, Dan couldn't have sent you the knife?

Enjoy that beauty :)

lol, now why would i want to go to Canada? everyone walks around with their rifles in the mall (according to weird Al anyway)................actually, that would be so bad..............and the bacon, must remember the bacon.

drinking = :thumbdn: for me. be it the USA or anywhere

i dunno what his rules are, but hey, i won it on time, so it works. its my new lil baby!

Glad you like it!

The edge is "low" because it's almost a zero edge grind...!

But, being damascus, naturally...I couldn't do a zero edge (you'd rub off the etch the first time you sharpen it).

So, I decided that since this one probably won't be used to cut down trees....and mostly for fine cuts...to go ahead and go nice and thin at the edge. (0.005-0.008")

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Dan

I cut my bacon myself from pork belly raised locally, its really nice! the canadian legal drinking age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec and 19 in all other provinces. have fun with the knife.
