...and I think she's a beauty.:D

That's all...just felt like sharing.:D

Thanks.

I sold off a 30 yr old Schrade Wostenholm Canoe a few weeks back...and regretted it ever since. That thing had such "character".

But when I found this Appaloosa Bone GEC ...it helped ease the pain.:D

Well it hasnt arrived yet so all I have is various pic porn of it but I do alot of punctures with box openings at work so I like Warnys. My G-10 Leek was really useful for that but I've gotten back into traditionals this past year.

I bought this one on the stellar GEC rep(my first one) and its good looks. I think it'll be a great knife for EDC.

i love those little gems of gec . appear to be jewelry rather than knives however my stiff arthritic hands require larger models to hold on to.even so my polor ice was a must purchase since it's so beautiful.thanks for the pics

I have the same model with jigged bone and really like it. The smooth bone on yours is really making want another.

i love the blank shield.
wish they'd do more without "TIDIOUTE" or "UNXLD" on 'em.

I agree. Never been a big fan of large blade markings.
Well, that's not a huge issue. Once you develop a patina, the blade etch pretty much disappears.

I just picked up a Genuine Stag Big Jack with no shield and the only etch is a small "Genuine Stag/UNXLD" on one of the blades. Looks kinda naked but I like it!

I very nearly picked up the Big Jack in Appaloosa Bone. Looks nice.

Well...I got the knife today. Gotta say I'm impressed with the finish on it. Not a rough spot or burr anywhere. Just pure smoothness. Very well done.

One thing I dont like is, the blades base edges when closed...are very sharp. I mean REALLY sharp points.

Has anyone noticed this? I wonder if they can be rounded off some without affecting locking? Seems like it could be a pocket shredder.

Sure is a purty one though...:D
