Well, my CT actually came on Saturday, it's just taken me almost a week to post about it.:footinmou I got it from a fellow forum member in new condition for a good price. I'm really pleased with the whole transaction. And the knife ain't bad either.;)

This knife is definantly a quality product. And so is the sheath. When I first got it I didn't like the handle or how the knife balanced. But it's growing on me. The handle shape and texture is rather new to me. Doesn't quite fill my hand the way I like a large knife handle too. Then again, up untill recently all my larger knives have been Khukuris.

Some one had told me once that Rats are Convex ground, but this one is flat ground with a Convex edge. Is that the way it is or is mine just different? (Not that it bothers me of course;)).

I also have a BA3 and happen to like my CT more. The CT slices veggies better (Not as good as my BK-9 though) and the handle is smoother, which I prefer. Wish I had a BR or HR to compair it to.

Good stuff, I can see why so many people like it. Thanks Swamp Rat and wetdog1911 for such a cool knife.:)

Heber

PS my CT's edge is slightly recuved.

Hi Heber,
I think all Camp Tramps are made that way, flat grind with convex edge. I really like the camp tramp. I think it is my favorite medium sized fixed blade. It is always in my pack and is the perfect companion to my 16.5" AK :D

Hey Logan, Didn't know you had a CT too. Looks like we have simaller taist in knives.:D I like the pics. Do you get many chances to use the knives? And what do you use them for?

My hard use mid to large sized knives consist of a 12" AK, CT, BK-9, 15" AK, 16.5" WWII and a 20" Sirupati. Wish I could take em out and use them more. Would like to put them head to head, but I think my Khukuris would come out on top.;) lol

The CT is definantly cool and think it would be even cooler in some Leatherman Leather. Possibly a piggy back rig. I have an old (1950's) Western Hunting knife that would go great with the CT.:D

The CT and AK are with me all the time. Every once in awhile I can put them to work. A couple months ago I used them for clearing a pad for a water tank. I was chopping and prying up manzanita bushes with the CT. Accidentally hit some rocks in the ground while chopping the roots. The edge did pretty well, was quickly fixed up with me sharpening steel. Very little metal was missing. One of these days, I need to get a Howling Rat:D

I know what you mean. Can't wait for my next check with a ton of overtime on it to come.:) The CT is a good knife. If you can find one second hand, I'd recommend getting it that way cause you don't have to wait as long for it to come.
