Got my Scorpius in the mail today. Very happy with it so far.
This is a very hefty knife. No blade play. Razor sharp. I notice that the plain edge (75 serrated/25 plain edge) is only sharpened on one side, much the way serrated egdes are sharpened. Interesting. I've noticed in the past that these type of sharpened plain edges are typically VERY sharp. I only hope I can keep that edge.
The size of the knife is perfect for what I'll be using it for and I'm very happy.
This is the first blade down clip I've had and I actually like it better. It really seems to be a quicker draw.
The knife has a 14mm Spyder hole and it's perfect. I didn't like the Native's 12 mm which just seemed too small for me.

More updates after some daily usage.

Congrats on your new Spydie!

The Scorpius has been one of my EDCs for a year or so now. I won’t try to expound on all of its virtues here, but it definitely is a great knife! :)

It's a great little knife! One of my friend carries it as EDC - he tried it to abuse (from cutting wires to carve the brick wall in the bathroom), but he failed so far. No chipping, no fractures on the blade, rock solid lock - it's a real survivor! :D

Real glad to hear this. I really agree with the comment on the lock. It's really solid, moreso than any knife I've laid my hands on recently. I really like the heft to it also.

One question: I thought Spydercos were made in the USA? Mine says "Seki-City Japan WTF??? :( Can anyone comment? Sal?

Also, I see there is a small engraving on the handle. Looks like a capitol "E" with an arrow off the base line at the bottom of the "E". What's the significance of that?

Some are made in the US, the s30v native the military the para, or any of the s30v knives. Any of the VG-10 knives are made in Japan.

If I remember correctly, this E letter means that's an Eric Glessner design. (Like the Mini Manix and several others has this sign.)
