My Chiruwa Ang Khola came in the mail today. :) :) It has not left my side since. Over all length is 16 7/8 inches, with a wood handle. If I had a digital camera I would post some pics. The handle fits my hand like it was made especially for me! I now have some clean-up to do in the back yard, as I've turned several 2x4's and one 2x6 into kindling. The blade shows almost no wear or marks. It does now have one small scratch near the tip, where it found a 16p nail that I missed when pulling out the 2x4's. Edge is still sharp, no ding in it. The K&C are very well done. They look as if the blades "grew" out of the handles. I will probably not be able to use my arm very well tomorrow. But I am one very happy man. :D :D I am going on a camping trip this weekend, I will be using it as a camp knife, to evaluate how it will do. Bill, count me as one satisfied customer, who will be doing repeat biz. (That is, as money allows)

Bill
(Yes, that's my name too :D )

Forgot to ask. The blade has the initials K.M. and a pentogram on the ricasso and some Nepali (?) characters at the tip of the Sword of Shiva. Anyone care to let me know what they mean?

Bill

The initials and symbol near the bolter are the kami's id marks.
The symbols vary with the whim of the kami.
They mean something to the kami,
but at anytime they might change to another symbol.

Search the forum for pentagram or star and see who's been identified with it.

The characters at the tip of the sword of shiva are usually the
initials HI, if the blade is a Birgorkha Villager, the initials are BG.
No initials or kami id usually means the blade was not produced at Birgorkha.

I think.

Thanks, Bill. I can see already that this khuk will be used alot. As I said in another thread, I don't by knives to hang on the wall. And this one fits my hand so well! And thanks for the FAST delivery!

Bill

On the other hand it's nice to know if anything should happen ( sometimes there are, despite the kami's best efforts, an inclusion of bad steel, or a heat treat problem, or the dang thing may get stolen or lost or forgotten ) there's a replacement at hand.

Like one already tested, brought back to full-body-shiver sharpness, and tucked someplace in reach to grab in the middle of the night. Just in case...
:D :D :D

Oh, for the record, I don't have an 18" AK, and don't plan on getting one because I'm 5'4" tall and wear size 8 gloves and shoes. I've had 15" AK's and given them away. And if I need that much chopping done there's a Super Salyan and a 30" Sirupati. So while I could put an 18" AK to use, I've others more appropriate to me on hand.

UNLESS, of course Uncle Bill puts up one of those UBBB's, that is, and then all bets are off.
