Got One Done On The Rotary Platen

Wow I-G, I think that's one of my favorites from you, Ever! Beautiful handle and profile, this is a fine piece of work. I got so excited when I saw the pic I didn't go back to your post to see what the damascus is made of, now I have to go look. Thanks for sharing!

George, she is a beauty!! the pattern, design and finish are all good. Intersting damascus pattern and the chain damascus idea for bolsters gives me a plan. Bruce Bump and I had a billet of 1945 Harley primary chain blow up during the first press. I got one blank out of the lower third, but the rest might make great bolster material.

Sorry, off course. Great knife!!. Terry

very nice George, Did you fold the chain and reweld? I made a piece of chainsaw chain last week, came out really cool, big leopard spots but I folded and rewelded 1 time. Going to check out a local harley shop and see if I can pick up some junk chain, might make for a cool radial pattern.

great Knife

George, Thats a Hot Lookin Knife! Did you really weld the Indian chain youve been hording? Like Terry says, Our harley chain is reduced to bolsters.

Very Cool! She looks increadable, I realy like the idea of useing chain for the bolsters, and the handle realy sets it off.

Very nice looking George.Good to see that you made it off the couch and got to work:D :p ;) :D
Nice chain Bolsters also.
Bruce

Thanks Dudes.:) :) :)
Bruce E.,I was working on it yesterday when I was talking to you on the phone. Has the river stopped flowing thru your shop???
Bruce B., I still have the primary chain off my Indian that I want to canister weld with a 5160 core, nickel and 1084 powder.
Bill, I did the same thing, folded once.

Damn nice, George. Hope to see that one in CT. Probably won't stick around that long, though.

I like it a lot I think I will have to look into one
of those new fangaled platens if that is what you
can do on one. Gib

hey fella's i have held this blade in my hand before George took it to the rotary platen... and let me tell you this is one sweet knife, she just melts in your hand... very nice to say the least!
