Thought I might give a try at taking some pics of my hawks. Please forgive the poor attepts at both taking pics and being "artsy" I still have two hawks on the way and will post them when they arrive.

First up is my French hawk by Great River Forge. Shown with a custom French Trade knife by Gary Corum.

This is my newest Hawk from Stephen Osborne of North-River Custom. All I can say is this hawk is awesome.
Desription from Stephen's Site:

Hand-forged by traditional 18th. century methods. Head is 7 1/2" overall with a 2 7/8" cutting edge. White oak haft is decorated with a leather wrap and iron tacks. File work on the front of the blade. Leather blade guard/sheath decorated with an antler piece, trade beads, copper cones and a deer hide fringe.

Knife and sheath are by Matt at ML Knives.

The Osborne hawk in hand. This tomahawk feels like it's ready to do some serious work or damage to the foe!

Gotta give the ML knives some props. One of my absolute favorites.

My apologies for the bandwidth usage!

nice collection. North river forge makes some nice hawks. Theres not many smiths around that use traditional methods..

Thanks Kentucky!

Thanks Crossada,

I tried to match them as best I could. Glad you liked them.

great stuff, I would be saying heres my favorite, and then here is my other favorite ,and then also another favorite is this one....

they are all nice and paired well

AR Freak Love the Hawk My Friend! Thanks for sharing!! Fantastic!!!!!

Thanks mainewoods! I plan to post some MUCH better pics of the Osborne later today. Mine do it justice! Same for the Great River French. It's far nicer than my pics show.

Got some better pics courtesy of Mr. Osborne. I finally got the clickable thumbnails deal to work! lol

Here's a pic of the new hawk from Chad Canavan that should arrive next week..from his site. The head is 9" long with a 2" blade. Haft length is 17.75" and is Wrapped in leather at the bottom. I hope it gets here Monday! lol My CS Spike is due Tuesday.

Thanks vec! I'm working on saving up to get one of yours to add to it. I think my incoming CS Spike would be nasty on one of your 23" or 24" hafts.

excellent.

thanks for considering us.

give that spike head a good ringing out and give us a report on what you think of it too, brother!
