Kudos for this forum. I had an Emerson Commander on order but after reading some reviews here, I cancelled the order and replaced it with a Kershaw Boa. Saved myself about $80 in the process. Having never actually held a Commander, I always thought I had to have one just from the pictures. However, the reviews and comments here were a great help. If I had paid $190 (w/shipping) for a knife and found that it had problems such as loose blade, off center, etc. I would have been ill.

Thats what the forum is for, opinions, opinions, and more opinions and from these the buyer can draw their own conclusions and hopefully they are happy with the purchase. I personally love the Commander, I have one with a Fort Knox like lockup and perfect blade center. I have owned a Boa and it to is a very nice knife. Congrads on the purchase.

I love my Commander, but they are definitely on the expensive side. I think you'll find that in addition to your new Kershaw, Spyderco and Benchmade are two companies that deliver a fantastic product for the $$$.
