I bought a Charge Ti back in 2004 when they were new. Over the years the pliers started to wiggle and it could only bend (not cut) wires. So I send it in to see what would happen. After 3 weeks I got it back. They couldn´t repair it so I recived a brand new Charge TTi in a tin case with new bits and new sheat. A brand new product! And they even throwed in a t-shirt! Now, that´s what I call warranty!!! The TTi is even better than my old Ti.

They are great I sent them 3 leatherman supertools I got around 95 or 96 and they mailed them back the same day they got them. All 3 look like new now.

to bad i live in indonesia... i got problem with my leatherman crater c33L from the first week that i got it... the liner look got problem and could disengage and closing by accident... i even got cut badly...

i could not even trade or claim any warranty for it...

i try to fix it myself but i still feel bitter in my heart everytime i see or handle it...

Leatherman has a superior warranty department. I have sent in several leathermans over the years and they have always sent me back a new tool. My hats off the Leatherman!

Thanks alot Supratentorial.... i'm not far from Kawan Lama building... i'll try to contact them... the only thing that disturb my mind is when i go back to the shop to complain about the knife, i check out the display and some stock one and they are all having the same problem... so i thought it might be design flaw... i modified the liner lock so it would be all the way to the right so it wont close on my hand again... its a very similar problem to this one on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y61O8CLAw1w

its a c305 and mine is c33L, but the problem is similar and trully happened to me...

the other thing is, the goods purchase to my country are mostly not to supported by warranty.... if you got some problem with victorinox, the dealer aint gonna take any responsible.... i dont know about this leatherman... if they put me in alot af hasles, i wont waste my time... the leatherman cost 2-3 times more expensive here...

they might decided i void the warranty since i already mod my own to fix it...

sorry guys, i'm not bashing leatheman at all... and i'm not spreading bad words about them... when i dissapointed with my purchase, its just my own opinion and experience... i'm sorry if i said something wrong and pardon my langguage...

thanks alot supratentorial, you've been very2 helpfull...

I've had a few experiences with Leatherman's warranty service, and I agree - they're second to none. Always fast and always a perfect new tool returned to me. Love 'em. I'm a customer for life as a result.
