Should arrive Wednesday, can't wait. I have the Shadow III and wanted something bigger so I settled on the 7 inch Green Beret.
 
You will definitely like it!!! I used to have a 7" but needed cash so had to sell it :( But, I still have the GB 5.5" to keep me company...
 
I have a GB-7" that is one fine piece of steel & sheath. I'm not the tactical/Rambo type, but I do like this GB alot. May get a 5.5" for its all over with.
 
Congrats ruger i am sure you will like it I have a Shadow III and is made very well and the Green beret looks like a winner also. Enjoy and chop away..:D
 
Love my GB. I work for the CHP, so my knife sees a lot of use; little of it easy. For my line of work the 7 was just too aggressive looking (you know, politically incorrect). I've contacted CRK to inquire about a "friendlier" looking leather sheath. Hope they make one!.

Welcome. They have them. Check out Neil Roberts Custom Sheath .
 
Gunslinger, I crashed my motorcyle on the 5 freeway a couple days ago and was helped my a couple of your officers. They were great and they really saved my but. You guys at the CHP are truly angels and heroes in my book!

Thank you for the kind words! We don't always get a great response from some of the public (understandably; tickets are not pleasant to get. I get that). I'm truly glad my officers were able to assist you. As a Sergeant, I expect the highest from my troops and it's always nice to hear they are serving the public in a professional manner!

First of all, great moniker! Are you saying the Neil Roberts sheath will fit the GB 5.5? Also, do you (or anyone) know if there is a Kydex sheath which will fit this excellent blade? Thanks for your reply!

I just bought a Neil Roberts, great knife, but I don't like the sheath. Are you saying there's a different custom sheath out there made for it? I can't find one on the CR site or googling. Thanks.

No what I mean is I am pretty sure Chris Reeves has a leather a sheath strictly for the 5.5 Green Beret. I know for a fact they have one for the 7 inch one. Give them a call (208-375-0367) because they don't list them online. Corwise, give them a call also because they may have something different for your Neil Roberts. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks bud. I did contact them via email and discovered they do indeed have a more "civilized" leather sheath. It's about $65, plus a couple bucks for shipping. A nice lady, Heather, assisted me and her reponse was quite rapid. Customer service these days is usually lacking, however, CRK seems to know how to do it right!

Yup , she is the one I spoke to on the phone about mine. They have a customer service second to none. Stay safe.

I shot them an email about the leather sheath for the Neil Roberts, here's a pic. Also about $65.
