Green Laser revisited

Well I can't stop thinking about getting one of these and it looks like the price is coming down. Of those of you who have one, which one did you buy? Is it awesome? How much did you pay? Which is the best? I have been looking @ this site, www.extremelasers.com and they look pretty cool. Any experience with this guy?

For some reason (the flashlightaholic in me) I think these are cool, but, what's the application? I have a red laser already and can't figure out what to do with it except piss people off ( a red laser dot on your chest seems to have certain offensive implications).

Just stupidly curious.

The idea of having the beam, not just the dot be visible gives the unit a light saber-esque quality that appeals to the Star Wars geek in me.

In all but very dusty or very, very dark situations the beam is really not that visible. If you know where you're looking and what to look for you might see a spider web thin beam.
The dot though is visible in ALL situations.
It can be seen on a black background at high-noon on the sunniest day of the year.
Try that with a red light.
