Has anyone heard of or used a Kalamazoo grinder? I have a motor and after long deliberation decided to sasve my pennies and purchase a grinder setup without a motor. Can anyone recommend such a setup for the 200 dollar range along with some sites where I can see it and order one at a later date? It does not matter if it is 2x48 or 2x72. I will get one or the other. A 2x48 is still better than what I have and will keep me going for a long time till my ship comes in. Power will not be an issue as I have a 2hp 3450 rpm motor. Thank you. Cory

At least save a little more and get a grinder that uses 2X72 belts. There are more grit sizes available and the belts last at least 2 or 3 times longer.

Sheffield's Knifemakers Supply in Orange City, FL has motorless set-ups for both 2x48 & 2x72 belt grinders in about the $200-300 range. Phone 1-800-874-7007 or 1-904-775-6453. Hope it helps.
