I know it's called Noryl GTX, but what does it feel like? Does it feel like zytel or G-10? Is this knife worthy of its name?

It feels like plastic (good quality, solid plastic). It's hard, and feels very sturdy, but in my opinion the handle is too light for the blade. I still like mine though.

What BOK said. Like Zytel.

The Griptillian feels very solid and secure in the hand. Great as an EDC, great as a dedicated self-defense blade, great as a collectible, and great as a gift.

Its about the same as Zytel. I think that technicly Noryl is slightly harder, but the difference is small enough to be insignificant.

If you get the full size griptilian the scales do indeed have that "hollow Zytel" feeling, because that is more or less what they are. The mini griptilian has full steel liners, and feels much more solid and high quality to me. This does not make it a better knife from a functional standpoint, but might be nice to know.

Yes, they are extremely grippable. I can't believe that Benchmade doesn't make more folders with this handle shape.

I was afraid of that, I'm not to crazy about how Zytel feels. Fish, you hit the nail on the head, it feels hollow. I think I'll get one anyways, cheapest way to try out the axis lock...

That's exactly the way I felt. Especially the part about being the cheapest way to try the Axis. Funny thing though... I fell in love with this knife. I got the 556 and it is my favorite EDC now.

I don't think you'll be disappointed!
