I know the Three Amigos (including Bladite....The Knife Fluffer!) won't say squat....but I find this following statement VERY interesting. This is taken from the Kabar forum, in the "Ask Toooj: thread, when he was asked if they were announcing anything new at Blade earlier today.

Yes.we plan on having a small material change to one of the Beckers. We had a lot more but time ran out.

What the? Any ideas? It's obviously either A) Blade Material or B) Handle Material. Since Beckers have bolt on handles, I can't see any logic in one Becker having a different handle. That leaves blade material. Sooo.....Is there any one Becker that stands out that would benefit more from being Stainless maybe?

What say you?mustbe17oroldertoguess

I could definitely go for a BK-2 in Elmax, CPM 3V, S 30V, etc! Although, if they do that, I will have a MUCH harder time justifying doing anything more than a handle change, and I'm sure the price would wind up in the 150.00 range. No patina, but I would definitely reprofile the edge to a sweet convex... Just keep my fatwood splitting, burger flipping sidekick at 1/4", thank you very much!

Elongating the machax and calling it....um....a Reinhardt?

Bk16 in s30v is my actual guess tho. Its been in my mind since spark had his thread

I am gonna make clich happy in ways he.ain't been before. An s35vn or s30v bk5 and bk15.

Dude. Don't even joke. A bk5 in s35v? Not even funny. Don't leave me high and dry like that. That's like walking in on a Victoria's secret model shooting whiskey out of another Victoria's secret models no no zone while batoning through concrete with a bk5 only to tell me I can't play. Not cool

Either micarta handles or a steel change? I honestly dont think it's that big of a change guys, as everyone says when someone comes here asking if 3V or something is better than 1095 and people say something like no its the steel cost blah blah people wont pay for a becker that expensive.

I love my 11 in san mai...maybe an offering within the smaller blades ... *fingers crossed*

Could they have been talking about changing to a high quality material for the sheaths? Which we first saw in the tweener sheaths, and now the larger sheaths are starting to show symptoms of quality upgrades, so far we've seen the 7 with an oversized tweener quality sheath, I would expect the 9 to have this upgrade as well, and the 5, and the machax (if that was ever below tweener quality), now we just need to see the 2 and 3, and the 11, 13, and 14 with better sheaths. Crap, prices are gonna go through the roof. Ok, forget it. But they could still be talking about the sheaths.

Sorry, Must be 17 or older to guess. It's in the fine print in post one.

That was my ASSUMPTION. Derived from ASSUME meaning: making an ass out of u and me.

I actually have no idea, I figured since it came out post tweener it had MOLLE straps on the back.
