Does anyone else wear a gun belt daily? I have been wearing a gun belt instead of a regular belt for a couple of years now. They are wider and stiffer than regular "dress" belts. I carry a lot of gear every day including a knife, a cell phone, and a PDA. The gun belt keeps my pants up better and doesn't bite into me like a regular dress belt would.

I don't...but I need a new belt for the same reason you described...too much stuff! Maybe I should try a gun belt!

Not a gun belt, but an emergency rappell belt...
Holds all this up

Bianchi leather belts

A Bianchi B21 carries weight very well in a pair of blue jeans. It is my daily wear belt. On thing that really sets it apart is the fact that it is cut on a curve to naturally fit my hips. A normal 1 3/4 inch belt will always bunch up in back because it is cut straight. Bianchi belts offer a huge bang for buck factor compared to custom holster maker belts at a fraction of the price and waiting time.

I wear a Don Hume lined trouser belt every day for the same reasons mentioned above. It certainly helps with the gun, but even makes a big difference with knives and such.

I wear an Original Instructor Belt from The Wilderness Tactical Products. Mine is the Combat Shooters Model (CSM). It supports horizontal pouches for several multi-tools plus everything in my cargo pants pockets. When I wear a holster it also does a great job of keeping that and my ammunition holders steady.

I have no intention of ever using it for the purpose, but it is also designed to serve as an emergency harness.

This belt has been my everyday wear for a couple of years now. It is functional, comfortable, and very tough.

I have two Wilderness Instrucors Belts. One in black for SWAT stuff and on in khaki for off dute. Reinforced and heavy duty. It's the cat's ass. Check our the Wilderness.com.

Another very satisfied Wilderness Instrucors Belt user here. I've got a couple of the 5-stitch models in different widths.
Stay Safe,

Im another user of the Wilderness Instructors belt. I carry a Glock 19, a pair of cuffs, an extra magazine and it holds up great. Sometimes I clip a Motorola Saber straight to the belt ( with the extended battery) and it holds no problem.

Good Evening All-

My leather belts come from Sam Andrews Custom Leather in Alachua, Florida. Sam is one of the nicest guys with whom you'll ever chat about gunleather. My favorite is double-thick leather with fancy-stitching, tapering from 2.00" down to 1.75" in front. Be prepared for a significant wait for his stuff. The black leather is particularly attractive.

Like several other folks, my synthetic belts come from The Wilderness out in Arizona. The 1.5" belts are particularly nice in beige for wearing with khaki shorts and "blending" with other casual clothes. The five-stitch model seems like a good balance between rigidity and flexibility. If push comes to shove, these belts are stong enough to pull your truck out of a muddy ditch. I might order a 1.75" CSM to satisfy my curiousity one of these days.

The Wilderness in tan are good for identifying to to like minded people. When doing the SWAT thing I wear my drop gear on my belt. This includes a G19, 2 spare mags, OC Spray, Asp and CRKT Stiff KISS. This badboy has never rolled over.

I wore a Bruce Nelson daily for about 15 years, it was brown & I finally replaced with a black Galco (I believe Mr. Nelson died a few years back or I would have gotten another) so I obviously believe in them. The only thing I can say is recommending you get the tapered ends, they were on my first one but not this one & by the time you get a buckle that will fit thru the wide thick leather it tends to gouge your stomach. Or maybe my stomach is bigger.

A high quality gun belt with make ALL the difference in the world. I have been wearing one from KramerLeather for the past year or two everyday. It has held up great and it carries the extra weight very well.

I've got a Blackhawk belt coming from 1sks soon...:D

It looks like just what I need for my EDC stuff. Once I get a handgun, I might be looking for a new belt, but that will be 3 years minimum...

For you guys who have the Wilderness Instructors Belt, does the 1-3/4” width fit through the belt-loops of regular jeans or am I going to need 1-1/2"? I took some measurements and the wider belt looks close. My "Dillon Leather" gunbelt is 1-1/2" so I know that will fit. Thanks for your kind advice.

P.S.: That teaches me to start a thread in G&G... now I'm buying a new belt :D.

The 1.75" belts fit most jeans, but not all. Wrangler "cowboy cut" will work with 1.75" belts. Most slacks will not, but Wrangler "Riatas" will accept the wider belts. Those are similar to dockers, but for political reasons I do not buy the levis brand any more. (levis recently moved all their production to other countries, and they support the anti-gun movement, which will of course come after our knives too)

Amen for the Wilderness belts! Milt Sparks makes a wonderful leather belt which is a notch above Galco and certainly more finely crafted than the likes of Desantis and Bianchi. The
Milt Sparks belt is cut on a slight curve, so it is really comfortable from the start.

I have two from different makers , one from Ken Null in Ga. made of horse hide and the other from Wilson tactical of shark skin . These two leathers have seen countless hours and are still holding up like new . A good belt makes all the difference in the world . I have seen people post here( on the forum ) about wearing regular belts to carry all their stuff and also their gun on , I just can't imagine how much the belt has to droop and move around with all that gear on it . Just my thoughts but a good stiff belt is a must .
