UPS man brought the gunting today and I must say that I am impressed. This knife has alot of heft to it and fits comfortably in hand. The only problem is that the integral pivot comes loose too easily and I worry about it falling off. Is Loctite a good idea for this sort of pivot??? I was thinking about using clear nail polish instead because it comes loose easier if need be. Any thoughts. Man, this knife is awesome

Thank You General. The other two questions I had were, what is the number on the appendage? Mine is 706, is that the model number? And, is the trainer made of different steel than than the sharp Gunting. I haven't yet recieved my trainer, but I had heard that that the trainer is GIN 1 while the real Gunting is CPM 440V. Is that true?
Thanks,
Matt

Jazzman,

Guntings have serial #'s on the ramp. My trainer is #311 and my daily carry (live blade) is #318. I also have a matched (live/Drone) set.

The training drone is a different steel than the 440V of the live blade, but i'm not 100% sure what it is. GIN-1 would make sense.

Hope this helps.

Steve
