I would like to thank all of you out there for your prayers and your emails regarding Will's health and recovery.
Since there are many rumors about I thought I ought to clear things up.
On July 31st he was involved in a terrible motorcycle crash-he doesn't even own one, his nephew just stopped by on his and begged his 'uncle will' to take a quick ride-down the road and back-1/2 mile, country road, no problem.....except when you encounter a pick up truck on your side of the road. Will was hit and thrown. He was life flighted and nearly didn't make it. He fractured his hip, left leg, left arm, pelvis, right wrist, jaw and two vertebrae.
His pelvis was in 14 pieces, his elbow in 18 pieces and his hip was the 'worst they'd ever seen'.
BUT, he DID survive and is on the road to a slow-but hopefully sure-recovery.
Our 19 year old son had an almost full ride scholarship to college but has chosen to stay home and help his dad. He asked WIll to 'talk' him throught the tomahawk making process from his hospital bed in our living room. Somehow that worked and I am proud to say that Jarrod is now welding and forging hawks to his father's satisfaction. And for those of you who know our products, you know that Will is a perfectionist.
We are back in business, though things are slow. Jarrod works full time and then comes home to work in the shop in the evenings and on the weekends. We are filling orders the best we can. As you know, when you're self employed there is no income when you don't work. Jarrod contributes his time and money. Our oldest daughter, Amanda is also a great help. She is a nursing student in Columbus and also works full time in a hospital emergency room. She is home every weekend to help me with her dad. She was to have been married in August but had to postpone her wedding when her father was hurt. THey rescheduled for July but her fiancee had been put on emergency standby (army reserves) and has been told if we go to war he will be among the first to go.....so the wedding may be postponed again....
Will has MUCH physical therapy ahead. We all pray that he will be able to do all he did before.
We appreciate all of the nice things you say about us in the forum and doing business with you. Will loves what he does and can't wait to get back to work.
Please continue to send your prayers our way. They are more appreciated than you know.
Sincerely,
Mary-Will's wife
