since spyderco is the only company to my knowledge to have released a folding knife with H1 steel i figured i should ask this here.
is there any chance at all of a knife with a H1 steel blade and G10 handles with steel liners? (i imagine something akin to the new manix but with H1 steel)
being that i work in and around water all day the salt series has been an absolute godsend for me. i have carried a pacific salt everyday since i began work a few months ago and have fallen in love with the thing. i can get the H1 steel to take a very keen edge and even though it does not hold an edge as well as some of the "super steels" it does hold it very well in relative terms.
after my boss saw my pacific salt he asked about it and ended up getting a regular salt. after a few weeks of working with it he stopped by my post the other day to tell me how great a knife it was and how well it still cut after being used so hard and how he could just drop it in the toolbox at the end of the day without worrying about it rusting shut.
