My wife and I were away for vacation during the New Year holiday with two other couples. We spent three great nights at Black Butte Ranch just outside of Sisters, Oregon. We passed on a chance to snowmobile so we could spend a little time together in the Deschutes National Forrest. I recently ordered a custom 10" bladed Tusker from Scott, and I finaly found a chance to put it to use.
I spent a little time hunting with my Brother-in-law last year near Sisters and I wanted to take my wife to the spot where we had set up our camp. While we were checking the area out I found a couple fatwood stumps and remembered I had the Tusker tucked into my pack, great time to give her a little work out.
I am really impressed by the performance of this knife. I was not hesitant to pry with it, at 5/16ths it is a sharpened pry bar of sorts. I was very happy with the sharpness of the edge, it shaved well and produced fuzz sticks like it was a 3" blade bushcrafter.
