The Ocmulgee Blacksmith Guild will hold our annual knifemakers hammer-in Oct.5 and 6 in Macon Georgia.Don Fogg will be the main demonstrator. We will also have Col. Tim Ryan shoot the anvil on Sunday. There will be several Master smiths there and a gathering of journeyman smiths. The best part of this is it`s FREE .We ask you to donate something to the iron-in -the hat. Contact me or Ed Halligan for directions. Camping is also free. COME ONE <COME ALL

It`s mainly primitive. You can set a tin teepee up but no power. We have an inside hooter and shower though. Robert Washburn ABS Journeyman Smith

Hi, do you know of any other hammerin's near South Carolina before October? I would really like to go to one to learn to make a katana type sword. I am trying on my own, but not really pleased with the results so far. I am using 1084 steel from Admiral Steel. I saw the Lowcountry HammerIn at Branton Knives, but it is just so long til October :(
