Hello folks.

In order to facilitate 1/4" pins in handles I use the #F drill bit (if there is another way to get 1/4" pins in 1/4" holes, let me know!).

Here's my question: What size bit will a 3/8" hollow pin fit into?

I think I remember hearing somewhere that people use the same size bit as pin, but then take down the pin diameter by sanding it while chucked in a drill press. I've tried this and it's hell! Any suggestions are appreciated. The "F" bit works great for 1/4" pins, but I want to try 3/8" pins. What do you all do??

I've used a size W drill for 3/8" pins wthout a visible gap. Since pins are rarely the size stated, your pins may vary and size V may work ok. The important point is not just fitting the pin in the hole, but to leave enough room for the epoxy too. If you sqeegie off the epoxy when you put the pin in the hole, it isn't doing much for you.
