Just wondering if anyone here has the RAD blade? I saw some pictures of this blade, and it looks interesting.

Heh heh, now that's a cool one..

Yeah, I have one of these, and lemme tell ya, it's one sweet piece. IMHO, Jerry Van Cook did a great article on it in Tactical Knives. Now I just need to get one of those slick concealex sheaths with the carbon fiber pattern...
Anyway, it's great if you want something capable of close range reverse grip slashing and picking going to longer range saber grip western/FMA stuff. with the sharpened swag and monster integral lock, I think you could even backcut with this thing...
My only complaint is the finish, I would've preferred some sort of Micarta overlay on the handles, and a satin finish on the blade. As it is , it's something I'd probably have stashed in a SOB sheath going on deployment. Heavy duty and sharp as hell. Just wish I could have gotten my hands on the Elishewitz proto. Drooooolllll......

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Talk to Laci about one, he's a trip to chat with and a great guy to deal with.

Happy training!

Ryan

I liked how the Rad looked, but I agree that it should have a different finish--for such a different type of knife, it has too much of a plain finish.

Does anyone have a link to where I can see some of Laci's work?

Ryan,

I made the Carbon Fiber Concealex sheath that Jerry VanCook has in the TK article on Laci's Rad. Email me if you want me to make you one. VideoSAS@aol.com
