Just wondering if anyone has tried to duplicate Cold Steel's test on any REKAT KNives? I know the tests are abusive, but just out of curiosity did anyone try? I figure if a zytel handled voyager could withstand some abuse, the REKAT knives should excell.

Cold Steel's testing is held in widespread disregard by the cutlery community. It falls under the general heading of bogus marketing. Almost any blade can be punched through automobile sheeting, locks are far more likely to be subjected to impact stress than gradual applications of high weight, and knives that bend excessively before they break are generally not heat treated for maximum performance, not to say that the knives themselves aren't sturdy and useful, they are, but the tests are not necessarily indicative of that. The materials and engineering of REKAT products are generally far superior to any Cold Steel folding product. The ATS-34 blades are both harder and stronger than AUS-8, the handles are stainless steel and G-10 as opposed to plastic, and the Rolling Lock is among the best folder locks available. The only CS test in which a REKAT knife might not far exceed any Cold Steel product might be the lateral bending test. The REKAT blade would likely break sooner, and that would be a good thing, indicating that the blade was heat treated to hold an edge rather than a bend.
