Have we forgotten about Stretch already?

I haven't seen it mentioned in threads for a while? I hope this design doesn't go the way of the others, because it's awesome. Are we forgetting about it already? Can anyone say how sales are on this model? Thanks.

I can say for a fact that it's getting some "air time" over on the Spyderco factory forum. From Sal's comments I'd guess sales leave something to be desired, but he seems to be looking for a replacement for the Kraton, rather than retiring the Strecth itself. The Stretch is my favorite EDC and I'm not the least bit shy about suggesting it anyone whose needs can be met by a 3.5" blade.

I am carrying mine now. It is a great knife. Only thing not perfect is the rubber on the clip side makes it hard to put in the pocket. It is a great EDC.

I thought the Stretch was going to be "the one" for me. It seems to have all the features I'm looking for in a knife. ;)

But....

When I held one for the first time... well... a... :o

The knife is just FLAT. Flattest knife I've ever held. :(

I know that this helps to make it easier to carry in your pocket but... it just doesn't feel right in my hand. Several times now I've looked at the Stretch & just can't get myself to fork over the cash. Not for a knife that doesn't feel "right"

Sorry

Maybe a replacement for the Kraton could address this, if others feel as I do?

The Stretch is my EDC and it gets used 12/15 times each day. Just finished a three minute stoning after about a week and we're good to go. Haven't seen any knife I'd swap it off for. Won't loan it. Won't let anyone use it. Barely let anyone TOUCH it just to see what it looks like.

I carry mine in the EDC rotation. I LIKE the flat aspect of this model. Rides in the pocket really well, and fits my hand just fine.

I think it would do better if the krayton was changed to carbon fiber, micarta,FRN or G10.
I had Bacote put into mine,I could not get it in and out of my pocket with the krayton.
