I've collected all other 49 state quarters for my son, put them in a nice state quarter coin book as a keep sake, and I can't find a Hawaii quarter to finish the set if my life depended on it. All the other state quarters were easy to obtain. What's up with Hawaii?

I saw a few when they were released, but honestly, I haven't seen many since. Plenty of Alaskas, but few Hawaiis. Odd. I've only come across one DC quarter too.

I came across a Hawaii quarter not to long ago, I remember starring at it thinking how the person on the back looks like a Spartan. I'll check for that quarter and if I find it I will try and mail it to you.

None here, but I have a bag of a little over $100 made up of quarters nickels and dimes. I should take a peak through there see if I can find one. The bag unfortunately is over at my GF's house.

I'm in Canada and collect them as well. The coin dealers up here just got the Hawaii quarter last month. Finally got the complete set after collecting them since 1999. They sell for about $1.50 Canadian each up here. I'm also collecting the Presidential dollar coins.

Checking the yellow pages of the phone book for a coin dealer would probably be the best way to get one.

I've got one in my hand right now if you'd like me to mail it to you. I'm not a coin collector, so I don't know conditions. It seems barely used, but it isn't mint.

Thank you all for your kind offer to send a Hawaii quarter, but I suppose I'll eventually come across one. I have family and friends looking for me as well. Besides, the hunt is half the fun.

I was more curious to see if the Hawaii quarter is as rare in other parts of the country as it is in Indiana.

Thanks again for everyone's thoughtfulness!

Why is there a DC quarter? DC is not a state.

They're also doing Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Northern Mariana Islands.

They should do an Iraq quarter then :D

The state quarters were a fun idea, and I saved one of each. The presidential dollars are a waste of time though. I have the first four or five and then thought "ya know what, I really don't care."

I do have a stack of $2 bills though.
