Yesterday I checked out the new Tomahawk Fighting video (Vol. II) from Comtech. The techniques are based on FMA. James Keating covers strikes, trapping, solo and two man drills, hooking, using the spike, hawk and knife combinations, limitations of traditional hawks, drawing, and more. There is a hawk throwing segment on Volume I.

I'm just working on the basic solo stuff now. If you like this sort of thing, check it out.

In the video, James Keating uses the Hays hawks that have been discussed here recently.

FSCJedi, guess you saw the bullwhip vid too :)
 
Aye, I did. Not sure whether or not I'd like to pick it up over any of the more basic "instructional" whip videos, similar to the ones offered by Western Stage Props where I'm gettin' my whip from. However, I am definately glad to know there is one (a video) out there that does deal with the whip as a weapon.
