I wanted to make my brother-in-law a hawk before he goes to Iraq, this is it. Made from a drywall hammer, clay coated and quenched fot harder blade and spike tip, permablued head, handle scorched with a torch and polyurethaned, and some tacks in handle for gripping. Still trying to figure out a good holster for it that wouldnt get in his way, any ideas? I thought about Kydex so he could wear it on his belt and let the kydex act as a spring holding it in, so he could just snatch it out, and pop it back in. But i cant find Kydex locally and having never worked it am not sure if it would work for that.
