Hawk questions?

Hey every one as was bound to happen I saw the patriot and The Last of the Mohicans and figured I'd need a hawk.

I am very new to hawks so if you could give me the complete rundown.

If you're new to 'hawks, the Cold Steel Trail Hawk is a good, inexpensive start. They make a good, handy, portable, practical tool--even if you aren't scalping people or butchering Redcoats

Well those were my main purposes for a hawk originally but I dad to rethink that.

Yes. Follow the links I supplied earlier. Use fine grain sandpaper

It's your 'hawk. What do you want to cut with it?

It is completely pointless and worthless; a good solid tamping with a rubber mallet, backed up by centrifugal force will keep the head on the haft.

A purist is someone who adheres to strict correctness. Purest means that something is free from foreign, impure, or inferior elements.

Complete rundown is found throughout the hawk mod thread. Others are discussing putting it all together in a Sticky. Until that time, have some fun reading through all the posts. I also liked that blog, but be aware that it is a bare bones mod and you might like some of the other, simple, things people do.
