I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with a Hays tomahawk?

http://haysknivesmontana.com/ is their site, and just from the info there, they seem nice.

Ive yet to purchase a tomahawk, but I do have two ATC tomahawks on my 'to get' list.

What I'm really looking for is a poll tomahawk that has a hammer-type end opposite the main blade.

Something like this one from Hays would work, though I would prefer the 'hammering side' to maybe be a little more extended out closer to the shape of a regular hammer. Any suggestions would be appriciated!

I wouldn't buy a thing from them. There is some bad history between hays and ATC. Notice that the Hays designs are really ATC designs. Spend your money at ATC and enjoy.

Yes, I noticed their Next Generation model was almost exactly like the Next Generation Rangers hawk over at ATC. I just wish ATC made a Ranger pole-type tomahawk with a hammering surface :(

L Hansen, I just checked out some of your work over at Bladegallery and those hammer poles are awesome! The only downside is I'm looking for a hammer pole tomahawk that I can take out and beat, and those are a little too nice/pricey for me to spend on a user. I'm trying to keep it under $200, just something simple with none of the decorative stuffs.

On a side note, I would love to pick up one of your hawks later on to rest in a stand on my desk :)
