I wanted to take a minute and show everyone some additional (albeit crappy) photos of the HD14 Framelock Conversion STR did on my Emerson CQC14. I believe he has already posted here about it, and it is on his blog. His work is worth every penny, and I highly recommend the conversion if you are on the fence about it.

STR, sorry it's taken so long to upload these. I don't have a viable excuse, other than being lazy.

I really like how STR matches the jimping on the rest of the knife, and the bevel treatment of the inside of the lock bar. In retrospect, I should have ordered a low-rider clip too, but I really enjoy this conversion. Thanks STR!

I can make a low rider to fit that folder and stick that in the mail anytime my friend. For the 14 or 7 model that is the 4 and 5/8" closed model of the 7 I would not need the knife because I have some of those of my own in my collection. I also have a 12 but again low riders and Waves do not always go together well. I will say on my 7 I use one now and then and find depending on the situation that there are times I like hiding it and on my A model that is a non Waved one well, its a great addition.

By the way. All anyone needs to know for how to get one is in the Low Rider clip and mailing instructions thread which is a sticky post top the page here in my forum always somewhere up top on page one.

I don't think they are bad pics at all.

No worries about the time. I like seeing it though.

Thanks for this.

very nice!

STR can you do ti slabs on BOTH sides? I might just have to send my knife down......;)

Oh yeah if people want to spend the extra $ sure. I don't normally do it much because folks like the detent ball on the non lock side and there is really nothing the matter at all with the set up on the non locking side of the folders. Most of the time there is nothing wrong with the lock sides though. I think folks just want the perceived benefits (higher reliability/better wear for two) the open sided beef cake frame lock brings to the table.

What you see me doing the most is the lock sides because thats the most often called for request and the least expensive way to step up your Emerson more than just a notch to create a real work horse bare bones get after it user but if you search my forum or browse the pages here or do the same in my blog link below left in every post you can find some 14s as well as other Emerson and various manufacturer made knives including true south paw conversions I've done for folks wanting it. Thanks for asking.
