Headed to Crater of Diamonds State Park

Hey guys, I'm headed to the Crate of Diamonds State Park for a family reunion.

It's a pretty cool place....you may have heard of it already.

Basically, there are diamonds (not the white pretty kind your lady craves) scattered around the area and you can go out and dig for them...and keep whatever you find. :thumbup:

Every once in a while, someone will find a monster-sized one that is actually worth some serious coin....

But, I don't have any delusions of overnight wealth...


My kids just love to dig holes in the dirt...so why not have some fun with it?
(my wife's garden will get a weekend's repose! :foot: )

Anybody been to this park?



Looks to be a fun outing, with a 40-50% chance of party-spoiling rain...:thumbdn:

But I imagine we'll find something to do....


Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up.

I'll be back Saturday, and will check for any 'emergency' emails....but otherwise will be out until Monday.

I've been there probably three times an never have found anything. But, I had a good time there as a kid. I think next time I will go to the crystal mines. It looks like you have a bit better odds at finding those.

and......I'm BACK!


We stayed at Lake Greeson (Daisy State Park) and had a BLAST!

But I'm definitely excited to be back in the shop!
