HI ALL, I ama newby knife maker just getting ready to make my 1st attempt at making a knife. I have most of my gear,(my new COOTE grinder should be here in a few days:D ),I have done a lot of research and think i can handle most of the process.I only have one question that is still nagging me. I am going to use 1095 steel from KOVALS but am unsure on how to heat treat it at home.In the future I plan to find a pro-heattreating company in the mid-michigan area but for the time being i want to trymyself. Can anyone give me a easy 123 style walkthrough? AS you can see I am not a typist,I amatruckdriver. P.S. anyone own a coote grinder? If so do you like it? I met a maker that has had his for ten yeas with zero problems. Thanx for reading my rambling. Any help would be great. THANX, SOOP
