Around the edge of the springy bit of the liner of my Spydies compression lock (I don't know the technical term) there is heat discolouration.
Does this mean the liner is heat treated? If so, why? Does it improve springiness or is it to harden the part that engages with the blade tang (does that rear part count as a tang?)
Apologies if this seems like a dumb question but I am really only just starting to learn the ins and outs of this stuff.
