I have a knifemaker friend who told me the other day that he is sending several 420V blades out to heat treat to a company that is going to use salt baths. High temp bath at 2000 and then quickly into another salt bath at 1000. deep freeze cycle in between quenches. Has anybody else tried the salt baths on 420V and does this sound optimal?
