This knife is quite a remarkable folder, in my opinion. I could not help but to be impressed by its feel and size, and to realize that it's perfectly legal to carry one in California makes it something I've got to have in the near future. While holding it I felt as though I was ready to take on just about anything; the thing is a bloody pocket-sword!

I've had an X2 Voyager for awhile now, and I too am impressed with it...BUT you should take a look at the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande as it REALLY is one wicked folder...(It's the same size as the X2, but with a more agressive blade.).

Not only does the VG have a more aggressive blade shape, the flat grind may be stronger than the X2's hollow grind. I have been using the VG for years now in the woods, hacking through light branches and vegetation. I got an X2 to back it up, and it didn't last a month. The edge rolled and a huge chip broke off.

It should be fine for normal cutting work, but it is no chopper, and the VG definitely is.
