Norwegian . I understand that they are excellent . Anyone own one?
How do they stack up as a fixed blade hunting knife ?

I have half an dozen or so and some blades I've attached to my own handles. Excellent knives. While I've only used mine for utility chores and kitchen cutting, I don't see why they should not do as well cutting up deer or other game. They are more traditional than say your average Buck knife. The laminated blades come very sharp and are easy to sharpen using practically any sharpening tool. I don't think you can go too wrong with a Helle.

I've built a couple of all-round utility knives with hardwood handles & Helle blades from ragweedforge.com. It is a fun project & I am very pleased with the knives & use them all the time. Paid $10 - $12 for the blades in 2001; I think they are a bit higher now due to the weak dollar, but even so, this is a fantastic value. Hope this is helpful,

Andrew
