Hello,

Im from the uk, I became intrested in throwing after messing around with some darts (minus the flights) and enjoying myself :D so i figured it would be intresting to try my hand at some real knives.

I bought CS sure balance thrower
http://www.toolshop.de/product_info.php?products_id=3196

I didnt want to get a light knife, i wanted a well balanced sturdy blade.

Im wondering now if i made the best beginers choice. I only bought 3 of them and now im kicking myself thinking i should have bought a few more.

for the beginer how long will these last? has anyone had some positive experence with them?

Also as im from the UK i was wondering are there any throwing clubs ect i could contact as in europe it seems that there mostly german and french clubs.

Thanks!

I haven't used that type of blade, but they look like good throwers. I don't think you'll have to worry about them breaking, unless you are bouncing them off of concrete. Knife throwing is a great sport! Have fun with them.

my advice; if you're just beginning, don't buy too many of one kind of knife. Experiment with different options. Boker has some great low price and sturdy throwing knives designed by Bailey. More function than fashion with them. Hibbens are pretty good too, for a low price option.

Thanks for the info guys,

I agree i would like to try a few of each untill i find one i realy like.

I guess its sheer lazyness but i just dont want to be going back and forth to the target so 3 would be a minimum.

I will try some of the heavyer types as this seems to be what everyone recomends to learn with.

because its the uk and the weather being terible i will be mostly practiceing indoors so Im makeing a target out of a mixture of cardboard and floor boards (i will experement with the two types as there seems to be love for both types in the designs i have seen on the internet.)

When i have finished reading the forum i'll post again :D
