Hi Friends,
For those of you who have been following my recent exploits with receiving a BUCK counterfiet knife:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...lp-to-confirm-if-this-is-a-genuine-BUCK-knife
I need help to stop this seller from selling anymore fake knives in the form of documentation to send to Paypal by April 24th or I lose my claim.
This is the email I received from Paypal:
To continue, we need documentation supporting your claim that the item is not authentic.
Heres what you need to do.
Obtain a document from an unbiased third-party, such as a dealer, appraiser, or an organization that is qualified in the area of the item in question (other than you). This document should contain the following:
Detailed description as to why the item is not authentic (i.e., how the
item differs from an authentic item, how the person evaluating the item determined that it is not authentic, etc.).
If possible, the document should include a serial number and must be on
letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the authenticating party so that we can contact them directly, if necessary.
Susan Jensen of BUCK Knives USA has been really helpful so far, but at the moment all she could do was forward my request to BUCK's Historian, which I'm hoping will be ale to provide the expertise, authority and details needed.
What I am worried about is that since Paypal has only giving me 10 days to provide this documentation, I thought I should seek out a secondary source just in case I needed a back-up.
If anyone here could help me with this or know someone who can help, please email me (or have them email me) at:
dirkdar01[at]gmail.com (I'm using [at] instead of @ to fool the spambots)
I'll then respond with my main email address so you know that everything is legit, and more pictures if needed.
Please help me shut down this seller before anyone else is scammed.
Thank you.
