Kopa w/cocobola
Kopa w/micarta

This is a dress and semi-dress knife. I will wear it with everything from jeans to a suit. HELP. I am driving myself nuts. Or do I wait 2 weeks go to the local gun/knife show and get an auto ahhhhhhh!

umm...you can't loose! Just go with what you think looks better. Just keep in mind that the micarta pieces are pretty much uniform, while the Cocobolo pieces will have variances in grain and color (the color will richen once your hand oils work their way into it).

For a dress knife, given the choice between black micarta and any kind of wood, I would always go with the wood. It has more character and, when combined with the double bolsters of the Kopa, registers on even the most timid of sheeple's radar as an ordinary pocketknife.

My wife told me the other day that the Coco Kopa was her favorite knife of mine. She said it looked classic.

There is no white micarta version I think the white version is made out of evrina which according to syderco's website is a manmade ivory alternative.
