Help me find a specific thread on platens...?

I was talking to a maker on the phone today who mentioned a recent thread about platen grinding using a toothed belt such as a drivebelt from a Harley to back-up the abrasive belt for grinding.

It wasn't clear to me which discussion group or even which forum the thread was on......I was simply told that it was somewhat recent.

I've checked my typical lurking sites and I've done a few searches...but nodda....

Anyway, I'm intriqued with the idea and would like to find the thread....any help please?
