Is this like the skull and crossbones club that most upity ups belong to. Trying to get a simple question answered and searched the web front and back and it seems to be a staunch sorta of cult.

Frustrating, I understand that this is not run by Zuckerberg himself. But trying to post a photo now a days is easier than buying a pack of Big Red

If your question is about a cheapo 5$ knife you can get at a flea market or gas station you will find that there will be an almost cult like attitude against them, but NO not everyone here is purely interested in high end knives.
You don't have to own 150$+ knives.
You'll find yourself just as welcome if you're into 10$ opinels , 20$ Victorinox Saks, or 50$ kershaws.

Can't post a photo without adding more apps to my iPhone 7. Not without technical knowledge, but damn! 99.9% of sites you can just post a photo. I have searched every knife site known to man in the last 24 hours and all seem to be stuck in the mid 90's regarding technology. Not an insult, but I'm a retired gent from the Army and aeronautics industry. Looking for new hobby. Thanks

This is a what appears to be an old interesting knife found in Brazil. Just want to know more about it. Don't care about money, history is what motivates!

You don't need to add apps - but the best way for you to add images is to use a photo host. Photobucket is ad heavy and clumsy/clunky; I switched to imgur - it isn't without faults; but it is an improvement.

Thank you sir! Already have Facebook, twitter, instagram, trying not to add more BS. But if it helps me unravel history, I'm in!!! Thanks hhmoore

What you'll want to do is create a postimage account because you have to use an image hosting sight if you don't have a paid membership.
You don't need to download the app or anything, just created you account.
Once you find where it says to upload and says choose photo or video you can either select documents for a picture you've already taken or choose camera to take the picture right then.
Once the upload is complete you can scroll down and select the thumbnail for forums to copy it ( it'll say copied )
The you can post your pictures here in the Bernard Levine's collector and identification forum
To do this you just tap and hold and select paste.

Wow - that coding is a mess. I'll try to fix it later...it can be a tedious process on a phone, so I might have better luck in the morning when I can look at it on my desktop.

Edited to add - the host site is blocked by the network I'm on...maybe that's why I can't see the pictures (but the coding still doesn't look right to me).

Might want to switch to Imgur or UltraIMG. I clicked into one of you Postimage hosted pictures and my kids (who happened to be next to me) were treated to pot-bellied weight loss and Cute Asian Babes Want Older Men ads :)

He just needs something from here, all of a sudden, and is upset that he had to create an account and jump through more hoops.

Thank you for translating from the original gibberish.

Not surprised the knife itself was found in South America. I get a very gaucho knife vibe from it.
