Hey Gang,
I have decided to ad a ZT to my collection. If you were going to purchase your first (and possibly only) ZT, which one would it be and why? So far I am leaning toward a 560. I dont really have a spacific use in mind for it, I currently EDC a Paramillitary II in M390 and think it will remain my go to knife for every day carry. I may mix it into the rotation. They all look great but I lean toward higher end steels and want to try El Max. I dont really like how S30V looses its hair popping razor edge so easily and thats part of why I am leaning toward the 560. Should I get the 560 or go with a different model? You help is appriciated.

If you really need a flipper go with a 0560..otherwise get a 0550... It's an awesome knife and is priced great. Contact Kershaw Guy and he'll hook you up..

And with the $$$$ you save you can get some awesome Scales and What not..and S35V is a great steel!

I have both a 350 and 550. I love them both but understand what you mean about s30v. It stays usably sharp for a long time but looses that hair shaving edge pretty quick. The s35vn on the 550 does seem to keep that shaving sharpness a little longer. Like I said I love them both, and for different reasons. I can't wait to get more zt knives.

the 560/561 is a good one, if you don't want a flipper, try and find a 551 which has elmax. Both are super smooth, but with a PM2 as your go to, you might like the thin profile of the 560 over the chunkyness of the 551.

Elmax is supposed to be a tougher than normal stainless steel.
Seems like a great choice for a hard-use/large folder.

Do it! :D

The 0300/0350 and 0560 are my current favorites from ZT.
As soon as the black-bladed, combo-edge 0560 comes out, I will be even more tempted.

I say go with your initial instinct, the 0560. Elmax and thinner profile that's different, but more like your PM2 than Elmax offerings like the 0551. You could try to track down an 0350CB with Elmax edge, but 0560s are more plentiful. Go for it!

The 0560 is a great knife as you may have read. The steel is nice and the ergos are great. It is on the larger side but I barely notice it. Opens smooth and quite fun to play with.
