OK OK You all have talked me into it! After much consideration and research I have decided to buy a CR Knife. I never thought I would spend that much on a knife, let alone one that I am going to use but, I know from reading many posts and magazine articals It will be worth it and I will not be disapointed. I have chosen the small Sebenza with a serrated blade.I would like to buy a used one but don't know if I should look for a "Classic" or "Plain" does it matter? Any other hints or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance-Brad

Personally, I like the new Sebenza, but just as many people will tell you that they prefer the Classic. You can not go wrong with either knife.
When you find one let us know what you think.

You will be pleased with either! Problem izzzzz.....if you buy the Classic...then down the road you wil want the plain...and thennnnnnnnnnnn, if you buy the large.....down the road you will want a small.....then.....you will have to get a decorated version adn then of course the M-NANDI will come along and then of course...............it just never ends does it guys

Personally unless you're a knife knut, there's not a lot of difference between the plain and classic styles. I guess both have their fans, much like whether you'd prefer blondes or brunettes I guess

Sexist jokes aside, my girlfriend can't tell them apart until I point out the slightly deeper belly on the plain and the different cutouts on the handle. Hmmmm... never saw a serrated sebby before - was this a custom job from CRK?

I got both large and small sebenzas and personally I prefer the small for comfortable everyday carry. For hard use outdoors, the large would work great where there are no easily-shocked sheeple around.

I prefered the Classic MM model, it fits my hand better and the blade shape is more pointy!

I would like to thank everyone for there two cents worth! I have made up my mind (sort of)my first choice would be the plain but the classic would be fine also.It looks as if the ones with serrated blades are hard to come buy. So if anyone has one to sell or knows of one please let me know.I would also consider the regular size. Thanks again-Brad

I have never heard of, let alone seen, a Seb with a serrated blade. What is the source of your information regarding this variant?

Walt

Walt,
CRK web page Price List has an option for the Sebenza of a “Partial Serrated Blade.”

The good news Walt is that the option is only $21.00. The bad news is that now the size of your collection must double to accommodate all the newly discovered variations.
