Anyone have pics comparing the Arete, Terassaur, Recluse and Bushcrafter?

I'm in the market for my first custom FB and having trouble deciding ...

I think Joes' design is up front but some pics and info would help.

Out of the list you have, Arete for the win. Andy's not doing orders anymore, but he turns out batches routinely and you can always find something to love in each one!

Man, I like those pics. Thanks for posting those Matt. That wood is aging really pretty. Its stabalized, so I'm suprised at how its darkening. I guess its not UV resistant that resin.

On the choices. The Bushfinger isn't in there. Wait till you see the 3/32" thick Scandi'd Bushfinger I'm making now with spalted finish. I'm just saying. The finger should be on there. Go check out the pics of the knife in the WSS contest. Its a Bushfinger.

What an ugly knife! I can't believe Andy sells these things for money. :barf:

Just kidding. I've got one of Andy's first Bushcrafters and even back then they were awesome knives. Having handled all of them to no end, I would recommend the Recluse. Out of all of those, that's my favorite design. It's a bad mother SHUT YO MOUTH!

Andy, if you are making Spalted Scandi Bushfingers, then I WANT ONE! Have you made a scandi 'Finger before? I must have missed it if you have. There's always one or two in each batch that really distracts me, though, so I might have missed it!


Oh, and Brian, if you haven't visited some of Mistwalker's threads with his Bushfinger pics, you should. It will certainly help you make up your mind.

I've been waiting for a batch with scandi ground Bushfingers since I saw the first pictures of your Bushfinger design, so I'm really looking forward to that! I might end up waiting for one with a 1/8" thick blade to show up before I finally pull the trigger on my first custom knife though...

Right now the one I have cut is a 3/32" thick Bushfinger. It'll get Scandi, and crazy spalted steel!!! More of those to come!
