I was asked to make my rendition of George Herron's Model 7. It is my hope Mr. Herron would be pleased, although I never did get exact dimensions, so I took the blade dimensions and guessed at overall length. 1/8" 440-C Stainless Steel with Ivory Micarta handles, black fiber liner, ss guard. Blade length 3 13/16". Overall length 8 3/16".

i am too. i admired him greatly. i always adhered to the thought of a more simplistic design that functions perfectly for the chores. a blade can't just look great. i keep that in mind when i do a blade.

Very very nice work Mr. White.

I can not tell from your photos but did you run a solder bead between guard and blade?

ADD- thanks! yes sir, i do solder my guards. it's always my most breath-holdin' moment on a blade w/ a guard.

i hit this one.

I can't wait to get my hands on this knife.

Remember, I traded cork duck decoys for this blade if my wife tracks you down!

Beautiful. Is the tang tapered? I believe it should be to please Mr. Herron.
