hey, some help?

If I remember correctly they are carbon steel blades coated in a chrome-like substance to resist corrosion. That coating will get scratchjed off when you throw and you will have to oil the little exposed pieces. I can't tell you about the performance, not having thrown them. I am considering getting some though. Check here for a slightly better price. http://www.888knivesrus.com/product/UC926
If I get them I'll be sure to tell you how they perform.

Chrome ones are always fun to watch, but do indeed scratch up quite a bit. Depending on your budget, look for some lower-priced stainless steel ones to start out with.

If you're training out of doors, you will lose a couple when you start out. Nearly every knife thrower has, in the early days (and not so early days). I've read one suggestion that you should spray paint your first few throwers in a fiery day-glow paint to make them harder to lose, but never had the courage to spray paint any of my throwers.

But stick to knives you're not afraid to lose. If you buy the one you posted, I'd hang onto it until you've got your distance and timing down with some "crudders." Then try this one.
